After the resounding success of the inaugural festival in 2017, the Tasmanian Chamber Music Festival is set to return for a second year, bringing some of the world’s finest musicians to the state’s north for a romantic spring weekend of fine food, wine and captivating musical performances.
Set among the exquisite halls, churches and barns of historic Evandale, before moving through glorious countryside to the World Heritage listed Woolmers and Brickendon Estates in nearby Longford, the boutique festival will kick off on Friday, 26 October 2018 continuing through to Sunday, 28 October, with limited tickets still available.
The extraordinary talent making the journey to perform at the festival includes Helpmann Award winning harpsichord virtuoso Erin Helyard and the Tinalley String Quartet, regarded by many as the finest of their generation.
Among a selection of festival highlights, festival attendees will be treated to Bach in the Barns, a musical tour featuring the works of Bach, performed in three atmospheric barns by three leading performers – Emma McGrath on violin, Umberto Clerici on cello and Erin Helyard on harpsichord.
