OATLANDS

Oatlands

Oatlands boasts the largest collection of historic sandstone buildings in Australia. And standing tall in our beautiful historic village you will see the sails of our working windmill. When the wind blows, watch the giant cogs turning, the pulleys and ropes hoisting and hauling, and peer out the window to see the giant, elegant white sails as they cut through the air.

The Topiary Trail, designed by Tasmanian sculptor Stephen Walker and made by a local resident, grow in several locations in the streets of Oatlands.

Enjoy homemade treats at the country market on the first Sunday each month. There are a variety of places to dine and shop.

Highlights not to miss

  • Many of the local shops have visitor information
  • Wander around the historic Callington Mill precinct, view interpretation
  • Self-guided walks of the town are a great way to explore
  • Explore the Topiary Trail
  • Lake Dulverton is a waterbird sanctuary
  • Motorhomes can park overnight for free on the shores of Lake Dulverton
